May 26, 1951 to November 20, 2024
LeRoy Perea started the Annual New Mexico Photographic Art Show in 2009, to give New Mexican photographers an opportunity to show and sell their work in a fine art gallery setting. A venue where most of these people would not have a place for their work to be seen.
The show was a big hit! It has become the Best Color Photography Show in the state. With the sucess of that show in 2013 he started a women's show called In Sight, which ran for three years.
That show turned into Shades of Gray, the Southwest's Premier Black and White Photographic Art Show.
Due to health problems in 2022, LeRoy stepped away from the shows, making ANMPAS 2022 his last show. John Gilbert, who has been with the shows since 2010 took over and will strive to keep up the same spirit of the shows LeRoy had started.
